Harvest in the Waihopai

The Waihopai Valley is an area near Blenheim in the Marlborough region of the South Island of New Zealand. If it's raining everywhere else, you can almost guarantee you'll be warm and dry in here. That is why, due to it being one of New Zealand's sunniest and driest areas, the Waihopai Valley, in Marlborough is our premium region for winemaking.
In the bright sunny, but relatively “cool” conditions, the aromatic grape varieties have the advantage of a long slow ripening period. Long sunshine hours which assist the production of sugar for ripe grapes and cool nights, preserving the passionfruit, lime and tropical fruit characters of the aromatic wines offered here.
